Smaller houses will be the big trend for next several years. People realizing that they just don't need all that space and the expense associated with it. Looks like there are lots of small house plans out there with great floor plans for family living.

I agree; condos, townhomes, and smaller houses will continue to be built and sell briskly. The "monster houses" that dominated suburbia in the late-20th century will become less and less popular, I expect.
