Home Plan Study Set

One set of plans that include building elevations and floor plan(s) only. Contents of Study sets will vary accoring to designer and may be 8 1/2 x 11, 11x17 or full size. A study set enables you to see the layout in more detail and to see the home from all four sides. This plan set will be stamped Not for Construction as it does not include a license to build the home. (This cost can be applied towards the future purchase of a Construction Set, Reproducible Set, or CAD File Set)

1 Set of Houseplans

This package included one complete set of construction drawings. Generally, you will need more than one set to build a home since municipalities often require more for permit applications and you will need more for collecting bids. If you feel you need additional sets they must be ordered along with your initial plan transaction. Purchasing a set of blueprints and making additional sets by reproducing the originals is illegal. If you want one set that you can make copies of, you need to order a reproducible set.

5, 8 or 12 Set House Plans Package

This package of house plans includes [number selected] sets of blueprints or printed construction drawings. Why Five or more? Generally your municipality will need at least two for your permit application. This leaves one for your personal use and two or more for contractors or subcontractors. If you feel you need additional sets they must be ordered within 30 days of your original house plan order. Purchasing a set of blueprints and making additional sets by reproducing the originals is illegal. If you want one set that you can make copies of, you need to order a reproducible set.

CAD File - Complete house plans on a Disk

One copy of all CAD (Computer Aided Design) files for your house plan on CD or by email. This includes the complete construction drawings in digital format. Qualified professionals must undertake any changes made to CAD files. The Plan Collection LLC or associated designers and architects are not responsible for changes made to plans by any other party.

Vellum/ Reproducible Set of Home Plans

This is one full set of construction drawings on a reproducible medium. A reproducible set allows you to make as many copies as needed for a single construction of the home or take them to a local professional for modifications. Purchase of a Reproducible Set does not constitute a license to build a house plan more than once. The Plan Collection LLC or associated designers and architects are not responsible for changes made to plans by any other party.

Materials List

A materials list contains quantities of the materials that would be needed to build the plan that you have purchased. This is helpful when obtaining estimates for the cost of construction. Every effort is made for accuracy in materials lists however it is not guaranteed. A third party provides these documents. The Plan Collection is not liable for discrepancies, inaccuracy or misinterpretation of these documents.

Right Reading Reverse

The plan is reversed with all text reading correctly. This option may not be available for all home plans, so please check availability before ordering. If there is an additional fee for this option it will be a one time fee and all sets will be in right reading reverse. This option may take 2 to 4 business days to complete.

Mirror Option

A Mirror Reverse is a mirrored image of the home plan, with the text appearing backwards. When ordering, we recommend only ordering one or two sets with the mirror reverse option. You cannot obtain a building permit with the plans in Mirror Reverse.
