We picked a Contemporary Ranch to display. It may not be the best example of a Contemporary house plan out there, but this one had photographs and an open floor plan. I've noticed that unlike art and fabrics, Contemporary style in architecture is more vague. It refers to modern thinking but does not replace modern style. In fact, many people use the words synonymously. However, the word is often used to describe the current trends, which is always just a step or two behind modern architecture. So, Contemporary is to Modern as chicks are to a hen. As modern progresses and discovers new possibilities and creates new building shapes and sizes, Contemporary will follow, constantly representing the comfort zone of the masses. Let us know what you think...
