Artesia Plan ADI10-168

We live in Central Pennsylvania and my wife and I really like the Artesia plan, a roomy Southwestern style. However, it is designed to be finished in stucco. I have heard bad things about stucco and water problems, mildew and durability in a non-Southwestern area. Will this design be possible in either manufactured ledge stone or perhaps brick?
What about simulated terra cotta roofing tiles? I've found some metal varieties. How loud are metal roofs during a heavy downpour?

You can decide the exterior finish.  It's completely up to you.  Just talk to your builder about it.  If you need the plans to be modified, which will depend on your local building department, then we can get a quote for you.  About the roofing, I've never really been under a metal roof in a heavy downpour.  You should be able to deafen the sound with good insulation and maybe some sound proofing, but then again, that's always a little more expensive than the standard.  The tiles would definitely be more quiet.  If you need any quotes for any modifications, just call us at (866) 787-2023.

Well since you live in pennslyvania which is a very historic state and the house plan you chose in in stucco i would defiantley chang it to brick because therer is less work needed and to tell you the truth it actualy looks better. And tin roofs? i would not agree if you end up going with a brick exterior then i would defiantley go with an asphalt shingle rook bevause it complements the brick and the historical architecture in Pennslyvania.
