This plan is almost exactly what we want - would it also be suitable for a mountain lot with a partial or full basement?  We're also looking at concrete siding. 

Also - it could be enlarged slightly, right, i.e., a foot or so all the way around?  Mostly want a larger MBR & bath and larger kitchen.

This plan #SEA-298 would be perfect for a mountain lot. It has a basement foundation available, but if you wanted to modify that to suite a partial basement you could easily do that with your builder. Because of the simplicity of the home's foundation and roof line, I would have the 1 ft addition done onsite as well. That will save you a lot of time and money.
